Conversations with African Poets and Writers: Nigerian writer and journalist Abubakar Adam Ibrahim

Abubakar will be reading from his prize-winning book “Season of Crimson Blossoms which was published by Cassava Republic and won the 2016 NLNG Nigeria Prize for Literature. He was named in the Hay Festival Africa39 list of the Africa’s most promising writers under the age of 40. He is also the recipient of the 2016 Goethe-Institut & Sylt Foundation African Writer’s Residency Award. The event is sponsored by The Library of Congress African and Middle Eastern Division in partnership with The Africa Society and the Howard University Department of African Studies.
